Flip Over Quick Weave

Définition :

A flip-over quick weave is a part-free, volume-adding hair extension technique where wefts are glued onto a protective wig cap while a small section of natural hair is left out at the front to blend over the top.
Instead of a rigid middle or side part, the top section allows you to flip the hair in any direction without exposing a visible track line or a bald spot. Tracks are laid in a curved U-shape or dense pattern toward the crown and top to create a bouncy, full-bodied look. Unlike a sew-in, the hair tracks are secured with hair bonding glue on top of a wig cap and protective shield rather than sewn directly to braided hair. Only a small horseshoe-shaped or rectangular section of your natural hair is left out along the front hairline and crown to cover and blend with the extensions.

Méthode d'installation

  • Braid or mold the natural hair into a flat base, leaving out a small section around the front or perimeter if needed for blending.
  • Cover the base with a protective cap and an appropriate protective barrier to keep bonding glue away from the natural hair.
  • Bond hair wefts onto the cap, arranging the tracks to allow the hair to flip from side to side without a fixed part.
  • Position the final tracks carefully to conceal the wefts at the top and hairline.
  • Blend any leave-out with the extensions, then shape and style the hair for volume and movement.

Maintenance

  • Gently detangle from the ends upward, supporting the hair near the tracks to avoid pulling on the bonded wefts.
  • Use lightweight styling products sparingly. Keep oils and conditioners away from the bonded areas to help prevent loosening.
  • Avoid soaking the installation. Follow your stylist’s cleansing instructions and dry the cap and natural hair underneath thoroughly if they become wet.
  • Protect the style at night with a satin bonnet or scarf. Loosely twist or braid curly textures to reduce tangling.
  • If natural hair is left out, keep it moisturized and limit heat styling. Apply a heat protectant whenever heat is used.
  • Remove the installation with a suitable bonding-glue remover. Never pull off the cap or tracks; arrange removal when the bonds loosen or buildup becomes difficult to manage.
